Agriculture is the mainstay of Bangladesh’s economy. As the soil is naturally fertile, agriculture is the main livelihood of the people of Bangladesh. It is the single largest producing sector of the economy of Bangladesh. Apart from agriculture being the main livelihood, Bangladesh is also one of the hazard-prone countries in the world. Different types of hazard are a great obstacle to agricultural development in Bangladesh. As a result, just as agriculture is being harmed, the farmers’ community who has totally involved in the agriculture is being harmed. Due to various hazards, every year agricultural production is being disrupted and so is the changing pattern of the traditional agricultural system. This changing pattern is more noticeable in the study area. To collect necessary data the researcher has applied qualitative approaches from respondents for this paper. A semi-structured questionnaire survey has conducted for qualitative data. The study aims to find out, not only the reasons for changing patterns of the traditional agricultural system in the study area but also to assess the impacts of the changes on farmers’ community. |
